Make soba from scratch in 30 minutes, then enjoy it fresh with your choice of delicious Japanese flavors in a stylish open kitchen near Tokyo’s famous Kappabashi district.
Discover the art of Japanese soba making at Kappabashi Kitchen Studio, a bright and spacious venue located in the heart of Tokyo’s kitchenware district. In just 30 minutes, you’ll go from raw buckwheat flour to expertly cut soba noodles using a traditional soba knife, followed by a relaxed dining experience where you’ll enjoy your own freshly prepared meal.
This hands-on workshop focuses on the three main steps:
Rolling, Cutting, and Eating. You’ll use high-grade buckwheat flour from Shinshu (Nagano Prefecture)—widely regarded as Japan’s best—and learn the smart, efficient soba-making technique developed by RAKUJYO, allowing even beginners to succeed with ease.
The soba is gluten-free (no wheat flour added) and suitable for many dietary needs, with several flavor variations to choose from. After the workshop, your freshly made noodles will be cooked for you on the spot. You’ll then relax in the onsite dining space with one included drink and unlimited access to premium Japanese snacks.
This activity is ideal for couples, families, or groups of friends looking to immerse themselves in Japanese culture, hands-on.
