FAQs:

Is manual focusing difficult at f/1 in low light?

Not at all – Canon’s focus peaking + magnification work perfectly, and the huge f/1 brightness makes framing and focusing extremely easy.

Does the lens have autofocus?

No, it is fully manual focus only – but it supports IBIS, EXIF, and all focus aids on every RF body (except focus guide on RP).

How is the bokeh compared to Canon RF 50mm f/1.2 L?

The Nokton’s 12-blade aperture gives even smoother, more circular bokeh balls, especially in the corners.

Is the lens weather-sealed?

It has no official sealing, but the all-metal construction is very robust – avoid heavy rain.

Will it work on APS-C bodies like R7 or R10?

Yes – it gives an 80 mm equivalent portrait lens with still-excellent f/1 light gathering and stabilization.
