Complete Details

Your Okinawan discovery begins with a warm welcome at the Naha Port terminal. Your licensed English-speaking guide and driver will meet you at the pier to whisk you away in a premium air-conditioned vehicle.

The morning begins with a visit to the southern coast’s historic sites. At the Himeyuri Monument and Peace Museum, you will learn the personal stories of the students who served during the war, offering a deep look into the island’s resilience. This is followed by a visit to the Peace Memorial Park, where the “Cornerstone of Peace” stands as a testament to the island’s commitment to a future without conflict.

Next, we head to Okinawa World. The highlight here is Gyokusendo Cave, a natural masterpiece formed over 300,000 years. After walking through the illuminated caverns, explore the reconstructed Ryukyu Kingdom-style village to see traditional crafts in action. The tour concludes at Kokusai Dori, Naha’s main thoroughfare. You’ll have time to explore the eclectic shops and colorful markets before we drive you directly back to your ship’s gangway, arriving well before your “all aboard” time.

FAQs

Which port will my ship dock at in Okinawa?

Most large cruise ships dock at the Naha Port (Naha Cruise Terminal). We coordinate with port authorities to ensure your guide is waiting at the exact exit point for the Spectrum of the Seas or HAL Westerdam.

Is the Gyokusendo Cave difficult to walk through?

The path through the cave is well-maintained and paved, but it can be humid and slippery in some sections. There are stairs at the entrance and exit, but the 900-meter walkway is generally considered accessible for those with standard mobility.

Can we see a Shingo/Eisa drum performance?

Yes! Okinawa World schedules regular Eisa performances throughout the day. While the schedule varies, we do our best to time our visit so you can witness this high-energy traditional dance.

Is lunch included?

To give you the most flexibility to explore local Okinawan cuisine, lunch is excluded. Kokusai Dori and Okinawa World offer many options, from Okinawa Soba to Taco Rice. Your guide will provide excellent recommendations based on your preferences.

Does the “Back-to-Ship Guarantee” cover traffic?

Yes. Our guarantee ensures we monitor traffic and your ship’s schedule in real-time. We always plan to have you back at the pier at least 1 hour before departure. In the rare event of a delay, we coordinate and cover your transport to the next port.
