Faqs

What is “Yukishio” and why is it famous?

Yukishio, or “Snow Salt,” is a powdery salt produced from Miyakojima’s seawater. It is filtered through the island’s natural limestone, giving it an exceptionally high mineral content. In 2000, it was recognized by the Guinness World Records for having the most types of minerals in the world.

Is the Kaichukoen (Underwater Park) affected by the weather?

Because the park is a permanent structure on the sea floor, you can see fish in most weather conditions. However, visibility can vary depending on the currents and tides. Your guide will check the conditions to ensure the best possible experience during your visit.

How long are the sea bridges in Miyakojima?

Miyakojima is famous for its long bridges. The Kurima Bridge is approximately 1,690 meters long, while the Ikema Bridge spans 1,425 meters. These are some of the longest toll-free bridges in Japan and provide spectacular photo opportunities.

Do I need to bring anything specific for the Tropical Orchard?

Since Maipari is a lush, natural orchard, it is highly recommended to bring insect repellent or wear long sleeves, as mosquitoes can be active in the tropical foliage. Comfortable walking shoes are also advised for the garden paths.

Can we see the famous Yonaha Maehama Beach on this tour?

Yes, the view from the Ryugu-jo Observatory on Kurima Island provides the most spectacular overhead view of Yonaha Maehama Beach. You will see the contrast between the pure white sand and the multi-toned blue water that makes it one of Japan’s top-rated beaches.
