Overview

Prepare for a historic musical collision as Rekishi and Osharekishi join forces for the “RETURN OF OSHAREKISHI” 2026 tour. Rekishi, the solo project of Takafumi Ikeda, is famous for blending infectious funk and pop melodies with lyrics centered entirely on Japanese history. For this special tour, he collaborates with “Osharekishi”—the jazz-fusion persona of world-renowned pianist Hiromi Uehara—to create a high-energy, technically brilliant, and hilariously educational stage show that has become a legendary fixture in the Japanese live music scene.

The tour features an elite backing band with members like Wataru Kazuhisa and Kensuke Okuda, ensuring that the musicality matches the whimsical historical themes. Fans can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with Rekishi’s signature “shakushain” (scepter) waving, improvisational jazz piano solos from Hiromi, and plenty of witty banter. This nationwide journey through Japan’s major concert halls is more than just a concert; it is a theatrical celebration of music and heritage that consistently sells out due to its unique concept and undeniable star power.

Why Attend
