Autumn Special Rakugo Performance in Nagaoka is a form of Japanese verbal entertainment that relies entirely on wit, timing and nuance. Performed by a storyteller seated on a cushion on stage known as a rakugoka the art form dates back to the Edo period. Using a paper fan and a small cloth as props the performer portrays multiple characters of varying ages, social statuses and personalities simply through shifts in head position, vocal inflection and facial expression. This upcoming autumn showcase brings some of the celebrated names in the modern rakugo world to Niigata Prefecture offering international visitors a rare opportunity to witness a timeless cultural craft performed at the highest level.

We secure tickets through our wide network of sources, including event organizers, official platforms, event owners, and the verified resale market when primary allocations are exhauste.
- Communication: All ticketing platforms, customer support lines, and verification procedures operate exclusively in Japanese. We handle all direct communication with organisers on your behalf while keeping you fully informed in English throughout the process.
