Ryoma Takagi’s Early Musical Journey
He is one of the respected Japanese classical pianists of his time. He was born in Chiba, Japan. Ryoma showed musical skills when he was very young. Ryoma Takagi started learning music when he was only two years old. He had lessons from teachers like Elena Ashkenazy, Hiroko Nakamura and Boris Petrushansky. Ryoma Takagi went to the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. There he got both his bachelor’s degree and his master’s degree. After that he studied more at the Imola International Piano Academy, in Italy.
Takagi became very famous around the world in 2018. This happened after he won two prizes at the 16th Edvard Grieg International Piano Competition in Bergen, Norway. He got the First Prize and the Audience Prize. Takagi also won prize at seven other big international piano competitions. One of these was the Roma International Piano Competition.
Takagi won all these prizes and people started to know him as a piano player. He is very good at playing music that makes people feel emotions. He is especially good, at playing late-Romanticmusic.
