To celebrate this The Minami-Nippon Shimbun is working with some of the museums and places that study old animals in Japan. They are putting together a show about what life was like a long time ago. This show is not, for fun. The Minami-Nippon Shimbun and its partners want to teach people about science. They are using technology to make the old days feel real. The Mesozoic Era is coming to life in Kagoshima.
People who visit can see how dinosaurs changed over time during the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. The exhibition has dinosaur skeletons that show what they really looked like including the scary meat eaters and the really big sauropods. You can also see dinosaur footprints, eggs and skin impressions. There are parts of the exhibition that talk about what scientists have found out recently in Asia. This new information is helping us learn more about dinosaurs, including the ones, with feathers and how their bodies worked.
Attending a Japanese exhibition gives a different cultural view than Western museum displays. The work at the Reimeikan has careful scientific details along with interesting lighting and space setup in Special Exhibition Rooms 2 and 3.
