The name carries a double meaning in Japanese, blending the local area name with the word asuto (“tomorrow”) to embody the concept of an event that brightens the future through the power of live performance. Organize by local broadcaster khb Higashinippon Broadcasting in partnership with Kyodo Tohoku and Cross Sports Marketing, the festival was establishe to create a multi-generational, accessible music hub in northern Japan.
The structural format of ASUTO MUSIC PARK sets it apart from traditional remote field festivals. Rather than requiring travel into distant mountain regions, the festival occupies two integrated urban sites: the state-of-the-art indoor Xebio Arena Sendai and the adjacent outdoor Mori no Hiroba Park. Junior high school discount tickets require physical student identification and proof of address at the entrance. 1st-floor standing and 2nd/3rd-floor stand seats offer free movement within Xebio Arena, subject to capacity restrictions during peak performances. Entry may require Japanese ticketing applications or physical ticket presentation upon arrival.
