Why Atsuko Ono and Taniken matter in Japan
Atsuko Ono is one of the well-known recent faces of Japanese children’s television. Ono worked as the singing presenter on NHK Educational TV’s Okaasan to Issho starting in April 2016. Okaasan to Issho is a running show for preschool children and its singing presenter becomes known to millions of families as “Atsuko Onee-san”.
