Full Description

Your night begins at Namba HIPS, where you’ll meet your local guide just outside the building. From there, journey into the narrow indoor alleys near Dotonbori, lined with atmospheric izakayas and the historic Hozenji Temple, offering a nostalgic glimpse into old Osaka.

Start the night strong with your first stop—an izakaya specializing in Osaka’s iconic kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) paired with local sake, shochu, or beer. Your guide will introduce the dishes and explain how locals typically enjoy them, giving you the full cultural context.

Next, head deeper into Ura-Namba, a vibrant yet lesser-known area filled with hidden bars and local-favorite eateries. At your second stop, sample dishes less known to tourists—regional specialties passed down through generations. Continue the evening at a final location known for its yakitori, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, or even grilled vegetables, with the option to mix and match small plates from several nearby izakayas.

Throughout the tour, you’ll receive insider recommendations, get to know your group, and learn how to order and dine like a local. Along the way, stop at Dotonbori for iconic night photos in front of the Glico Sign, a famous Osaka landmark.

By the end of this 3-hour tour, you’ll have eaten like a local, sipped drinks among Osakans, and seen the nightlife side of the city that many visitors miss.
