Yoshida did not go to a music school after high school. He went to the United Kingdom. He got into the Royal Birmingham Conservatory. There his skill and emotional playing helped him get a First Class Honours degree. This led to performances all, over Europe.
Despite early professional success, Yoshida experienced an intense internal conflict regarding the intersection of music, philosophy, and human existence. This intellectual and spiritual searching led him away from the concert stage. He spent time wandering Europe before returning to Japan, where he sought quiet contemplation at Mount Koya, the world-renowned center of Shingon Buddhism. Realizing the need to ground himself in practical life, he entered the corporate world, working in cultural policy management.
It was only after attending a live piano concert as an audience member that Yoshida felt his underlying passion reignited. Reconnecting with the instrument after years of philosophical reflection and corporate experience, his playing has taken on a distinctive, introspective depth. His recital program reflects this complex journey, featuring works known for intense emotional resonance and virtuosity:
