This walking tour takes you through narrow cobblestone alleys, softly illuminated by traditional lanterns. You’ll visit a Shinto shrine and admire a glowing pagoda, then stroll through the peaceful grounds of a Zen temple, all without the daytime crowds.
Led by a local guide, you’ll discover the traditions and etiquette of geisha (geiko) and apprentice maiko, learn about their cultural roles, and may even catch a rare glimpse of them walking to an engagement in full attire.
