Full Description
This guided tour takes you on a journey through Kyoto’s most beautiful and culturally significant areas. Start at Kyoto Station, where your Italian-speaking guide will welcome you and lead you through the northwestern suburbs of Kyoto.
Begin with a scenic train ride to the Sagano Bamboo Forest, located in the tranquil Arashiyama district. Take in the peaceful atmosphere, browse local shops, and learn about the samurai and aristocrats who once lived nearby.
Continue by bus to Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) — one of Kyoto’s most famous landmarks. Admire the shimmering gold leaf temple reflected in the pond and learn about its role in Kyoto’s imperial and artistic history.
Your guide will share stories of Kyoto’s nobility and the traditional lifestyle of the samurai class as you journey through this half-day cultural adventure.
The tour concludes back at Kyoto Station, but you are welcome to leave at any earlier point if desired.
