Join this immersive bike tour to uncover the spiritual heart and cultural treasures of South Kyoto. From historic temples to iconic shrines, this compact yet in-depth ride reveals the beauty and charm of Kyoto in just a half day.

Begin with a visit to Toji Temple, Kyoto’s oldest and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its towering five-story pagoda. Ride through local streets to Higashi-Honganji, one of Japan’s largest temples, where the grandeur of its wooden architecture impresses all visitors.

Pedal alongside the peaceful Takase Canal and Kamo River, enjoying river views and natural scenery as you head toward Gion, Kyoto’s famed geisha and teahouse district. Explore narrow alleys and traditional buildings that speak to the city’s ancient past.

Continue to Tofukuji Temple, celebrated for its Zen architecture and sweeping views of maple trees in season. Finally, arrive at Fushimi Inari Taisha, home to the world-renowned thousands of orange torii gates, and explore its trails on foot before heading back.
