As the cherry blossoms move northward across Japan, Hirosaki’s spectacular blooms begin to open in late April. These famous cherry blossoms are known for their dense, fluffy appearance, a result of pruning techniques developed for Aomori’s apple trees. Hirosaki is often regarded as having the best cherry blossoms in Japan.
Visitors can enjoy a range of attractions including daytime strolls, night-time illumination, and cultural experiences within the historic surroundings of Hirosaki Castle and Park.
