Full Description
Your tour begins at Sapporo Station, where you’ll meet your guide before heading to the Historical Village of Hokkaido, a 54-hectare open-air museum. The village features around 60 historical buildings from the Meiji and Taisho periods (1868–1926), including old town halls, homes, barber shops, and train stations. Each building reflects daily life in rural and urban Hokkaido, and your guide will explain the stories behind them.
Next, visit the nearby Hokkaido Museum, showcasing the region’s natural history, early settlers, Ainu culture, and unique ecosystem. It’s an informative stop that adds cultural depth to the day.
Afterward, travel to the Sapporo Beer Museum, located in a historic brick building. Learn about the history of Sapporo Beer and its evolution over time through engaging displays, vintage advertisements, and historical brewing equipment. Most exhibits are in Japanese, but multilingual cards are provided.
End your experience at the Star Hall Tasting Corner (optional), where for ¥800 you can sample a three-beer flight:
