As the sun sets and Kyoto glows under the warm light of lanterns, the city’s nightlife awakens. Join a local guide for a flavorful evening of izakaya hopping through Kyoto’s most atmospheric districts — Kiyamachi, Pontocho, Gion, and Yasaka.
Start your journey at a cozy izakaya, where you’ll be welcomed like a local. Enjoy delicious dishes such as yakitori, gyoza, sashimi, and more, alongside beer, sake, or soft drinks. Your guide will handle the ordering and ensure you get the most authentic and tasty experience — no need to worry about language barriers or cultural faux pas.
As the night continues, explore the narrow streets of Pontocho — filled with traditional wooden buildings and some of the city’s most iconic izakayas. Wander through Gion, Kyoto’s famous geisha district, and pass by riverside bars in the atmospheric Kiyamachi.

Minamiza is the only kabuki theater in Kyoto. It’s located near Gion-Shijo Station and Kyoto Kawaramachi Station — accessible whether you’re coming from Osaka or elsewhere in Kyoto. From either station, it’s just a few minutes’ walk to the meeting point.
