Join an authentic calligraphy workshop at Gojo Paradiso, a serene venue located along the scenic Takase River in Kyoto. Whether you’re looking to explore traditional Japanese arts or just enjoy a peaceful and creative moment during your travels, this experience offers a perfect cultural escape.
Under the guidance of an experienced calligraphy artist, you’ll be introduced to:
- A brief history of Japanese calligraphy
- Basic brush strokes and kanji formation
- Step-by-step practice of writing kanji characters as artwork
The workshop finishes with a relaxed session for photos, exploring the gallery, and optional custom calligraphy orders. You’ll leave with your own original piece—a unique souvenir (“omiyage”) and memory from Kyoto.
