Begin your experience by observing a live tea ceremony demonstration featuring matcha—the finely ground green tea central to Japanese tradition. Next, you’ll try your hand at preparing your own bowl of matcha under the tea master’s guidance, followed by tasting it alongside traditional wagashi sweets.

The experience continues with sencha, the type of green tea most commonly enjoyed in Japan today. Enjoy this more casual tea with modern Japanese sweets, while your host explains how sencha differs in preparation, history, and social context.
