Full Description

Uncover the elegance of Japan’s tea culture in a peaceful tatami room led by an experienced English-speaking tea master. Begin your experience by observing a live tea ceremony demonstration featuring matcha—the finely ground green tea central to Japanese tradition. Your host will share the deep historical and spiritual roots of the tea ceremony, providing insight into its significance in Japanese culture.

Next, you’ll try your hand at preparing your own bowl of matcha under the tea master’s guidance, followed by tasting it alongside traditional wagashi sweets.

The experience continues with sencha, the type of green tea most commonly enjoyed in Japan today. Enjoy this more casual tea with modern Japanese sweets, while your host explains how sencha differs in preparation, history, and social context.

For a deeper immersion, opt to wear a yukata during the experience and have your photo taken to commemorate your cultural journey.
