Contact Jasumo Now →In 1996 in Isogo Ward of Yokohama Yuzu K Arena Yokohama was created. The group has musicians named Yujin Kitagawa and Koji Iwasawa. At first the two people started their music life by playing on the streets of Isezakicho shopping area. There they made people who walked by stop and listen with acoustic sounds, nice tunes and lively guitar playing. Because of this their popularity started small. Then became big across the country. Later in 1998 their first big song called Natsuiro (“Summer Color”) came out. This song was very important. Since that time the song has helped make Yuzu an important name, in modern Japanese folk-pop.
Over 30 years, Yuzu has created an impressive collection of songs that has reached generations of listeners. Moreover, the duo combines acoustic folk with energetic pop and rock sounds. For example, “Eikou no Kakehashi,” which was used for NHK’s coverage of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, has become a lasting cultural song across Japan. Meanwhile, Kitagawa’s positive lyrics and powerful stage presence complement Iwasawa’s high notes and precise acoustic performances. As a result, Yuzu continues to connect with audiences across generations, making K Arena Yokohama tickets a great choice for fans who want to experience their music live.
