The journey begins in front of the Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, where your host will greet you and guide you through a local neighborhood tour. You’ll stop by small, authentic shops to discover Japanese staples such as ume (pickled plum) and goma (sesame), and learn how these ingredients play a role in daily cooking. Your guide will provide English explanations and cultural context throughout.

Then, head to the cozy cooking studio where you’ll prepare either Katsu Curry, a comforting favorite made with crispy pork cutlet and rich Japanese curry, or a beautifully arranged Bento box, filled with a variety of side dishes.
