Full Description

This enriching 3-hour tour takes you through Kyoto’s sacred and historical landscape. Begin with a guided exploration of Kiyomizudera Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known for its dramatic wooden stage and panoramic city views, this temple is dedicated to Kannon, the deity of peace and mercy. Learn about the legendary blue dragon (Seiryuu) believed to protect this sacred ground.

Continue your journey along the picturesque stone-paved paths of Sannenzaka, Ninenzaka, and Nene no Michi—charming lanes lined with preserved townhouses, traditional shops, and teahouses.

Next, arrive at Kodaiji Temple, a beautiful Zen temple founded in 1606. Built in memory of Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s wife, Nene, this temple features exquisite Zen gardens, ornate halls, and a peaceful bamboo grove.

The final leg of your tour leads you to Yasaka Shrine, one of Kyoto’s most significant Shinto shrines. Here, your guide will share the traditions, festivals, and beliefs tied to this sacred space. Conclude your walk at Maruyama Park, a lovely garden oasis that blooms vibrantly during the cherry blossom season.
