The Kobe Luminarie Light Festival is one of Japan’s most breathtaking illumination events, drawing millions of visitors each year. Since its first display in 1995, the festival has served as a memorial to the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and a symbol of resilience, recovery, and hope.
Featuring intricate Italian-inspired light displays, elaborate geometric illuminations, and a shimmering corridor of lights, Kobe Luminarie transforms the city into a glowing masterpiece.
Main displays at Meriken Park require a paid ticket. Other illuminations in public areas are free to enjoy. Advance ticket sales and pricing details will be announced later in 2025.
