  • Explore the charming onsen town of Unazuki with Taisho-era architecture
  • Enjoy photo stops, panoramic views, and peaceful walking trails

Full Description

This tour begins from one of two starting points:
Option 1: Meet your guide at Kanazawa Station, in front of the Information Center near the Shinkansen Ticket Gates. From there, travel via shinkansen to Kurobe-Unazuki Onsen Station.
Option 2: Join the tour directly at Kurobe-Unazuki Onsen Station at 9:00 am, where your guide will greet you at the ticket gates.

After a short walk to Shin-Kurobe Station, take a brief local train ride to Unazuki Onsen Station, nestled in the mountains. Founded just over a century ago, Unazuki Onsen is known for its crystal-clear spring water and charming Taisho-era buildings that reflect a mix of Western and Japanese influences.

Enjoy a gentle walk through the town and out to one of its iconic red bridges, taking in scenic views of the valley. With luck, you may catch a train crossing the bridge—perfect for photography. This walk lasts around 20–30 minutes.

Back in town, you’ll have time for lunch. There’s no fixed lunch stop, so feel free to explore options around the station. Ask your guide for local recommendations.

After lunch, board the famous Kurobe Gorge Railway trolley train. The open-sided cars offer dramatic views as the train winds through tunnels, over bridges, and past steep cliffs and waterfalls. The full journey takes around 1 hour 40 minutes and includes a short stop to stretch your legs and take in the mountain air.

After returning, take time to explore Unazuki Onsen town, including:

  • A covered foot bath area
  • A unique Buddha statue where visitors pour onsen water over the part they wish to heal
  • Omokage Observation Deck, offering panoramic views of the town and valley below

The tour concludes at Unazuki Onsen Station, where you’ll board a train back to Kurobe-Unazuki Onsen Station for your return journey.
