Overview

The Lake Hamana Flower Festival brings together 42 flower and greenery-related facilities to celebrate spring with an extended floral showcase. Under the theme “Spring in Japan Starts at Lake Hamana”, the event features breathtaking flower displays at 18 renowned spots, digital stamp rallies, seasonal illuminations, live performances, and local food markets.

• Daytime: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  (Last admission: 30 minutes before closing)

Seasonal Night Illuminations

• Cherry Blossoms (Somei-Yoshino): March 29 (Saturday) – April 6 (Sunday)
• Wisteria & Smile Garden Illumination: Late April – Early May (exact dates based on blooming conditions)
  Visitors coming during the day can stay for the night illumination at no extra cost unless they leave the venue and return.

Admission Fees

• Adults (High School and Up): 800 – 1,000 yen
• Elementary & Junior High School Students: 400 – 500 yen
• Preschool Children: Free

Fees vary based on bloom quality. Group discounts available for 15+ people, school groups, and disability certificate holders.

Stage Performances

• Location: Hula Mound and Wooden Deck Stage
• Content: Live music and dance performances (mostly on weekends and holidays)

Final Event

• Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025
• Time: 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Details: Japanese taiko drum performances and a display of traditional hand-held fireworks

Photo Contest

Submit photos taken at Hamamatsu Flower Park during the festival for a chance to win prizes like accommodation vouchers at Tateyamadera Onsen.

Food Court

Local restaurants and food producers set up weekend stalls with seasonal specialties, sweets, and regional dishes from the Lake Hamana area.

  Take the train to JR Hamamatsu Station
• By Bus:
  From Hamamatsu Station, take bus number 30 bound for Kanzanji Onsen
  • Get off at “Flower Park”
