Full Description

Hokkaido Summer Trilogy: Lakes, Farms & Volcanoes

1. Mount Yotei & Lake Toya – Fuji of the North Meets Emerald Waters

Marvel at Mount Yotei, Hokkaido’s answer to Mount Fuji, as it rises gracefully above the mirror-like Lake Toya. Stroll along Yotei Foot Hills Waterfront Park and enjoy serene trails, peaceful streams, and stunning panoramic views. Relax in a free sulfur foot bath and soak in the mountain air. For the best photo opportunities, visit at sunrise.

At Lake Toya’s onsen district, walk through streets lined with wooden ryokans, enjoy lakeside open-air baths, and sample local dishes like tempura-fried lake fish and refreshing lemonade.

2. Storybook Farms & Bear Encounters

At Lake Hill Farm, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into an animated landscape—rolling green hills, grazing cows, and wildflowers in bloom. Ride a carriage through the countryside and enjoy freshly made ice cream using Hokkaido’s rich milk and seasonal fruits.

At Showa Shinzan Bear Ranch, summer is the most playful time of year. Watch bears interact, catch snacks, and play in open enclosures.

3. Volcanic Wonders – Nature’s Fiery Canvas

Walk through Noboribetsu’s Jigokudani, also known as Hell Valley. The sulfuric air, hissing steam vents, and golden mineral deposits make this caldera landscape unforgettable. Follow the “milky river,” rich in natural minerals and contrasting black volcanic rock.

Visit Showa Shinzan, a young volcano still growing every year. Touch warm volcanic ash and explore its dramatic landscape and informative visitor center.

Hokkaido’s natural contrasts—from mirror-like lakes and summer pastures to volcanic drama—make this tour a complete sensory experience.
