Experience Kyoto’s artisan culture with a hands-on Daruma crafting workshop in a cozy, boutique studio. Paint your own lucky charm, guided by a local craftsperson, and take home a handmade memento of your time in Japan.
Located in the heart of Kyoto, this newly renovated boutique workshop offers an immersive and artistic cultural experience suitable for all ages and skill levels.
You’ll paint a traditional Japanese figurine—Daruma, beckoning cat (Maneki Neko), fox (Kitsune), or dog—using your own design and colors. Guided by a local artisan, you’ll also learn about the history and symbolism of each figure.
This relaxing and meaningful workshop is the perfect way to create lasting memories in Kyoto. Ideal for families, solo travelers, couples, and small groups.
All materials are provided, and your session includes refreshments to enjoy as you paint. You’ll leave with a beautiful piece of handcrafted art—and a little bit of Kyoto spirit.
