Step inside a real ramen kitchen and discover the art of crafting authentic Japanese ramen with Michelin-nominated Musoshin Ramen. Whether you’re kneading fresh noodles, painting your own ramen bowl, or enjoying the final steaming creation — this is a uniquely hands-on Kyoto experience for all ages.
Hosted by Musoshin Ramen Academy, this workshop invites you into the culinary world of Kyoto’s beloved ramen. Musoshin’s Toronto location has been Michelin-nominated three years in a row, and the same recipe and techniques are used in this Kyoto class.
You’ll start with hands-on noodle making — guided step-by-step by friendly instructors. Learn how Musoshin makes its signature noodles fresh every morning, then lets them rest overnight to develop texture and depth. You’ll hear how their rich broth simmers for over 12 hours, and how every element — soy sauce, chashu (roast pork), and toppings — is made in-house.
The class doesn’t stop with cooking. You can also paint and personalize your ramen bowl, spoon, or apron, which Musoshin will bake in a kiln for free (pick up the next day). These pieces make perfect keepsakes or gifts — or a personal touch for your next ramen meal at home.
This experience is relaxed, interactive, and filled with heart. Whether you’re a ramen lover, a foodie traveler, or a family looking for a fun and educational activity — Musoshin delivers one of Kyoto’s most flavorful workshops.
