Faqs

What kind of memory card is required for 4K video recording with this set?

For 4K video recording at the highest quality (100Mbps XAVC S), a UHS Speed Class 3 SDXC memory card is required. We include a high-speed 64GB SDXC card with the rental, but for extended recording, you may consider a card from the recommended options.

Is the $\alpha7R$ III a good camera for photographing fast-moving people or subjects?

Despite its high resolution, the $\alpha7R$ III is very capable with moving subjects. It features a fast 399-point Hybrid AF system and can shoot up to 10 frames per second with continuous AF/AE tracking, ensuring sharp focus even on dynamic street scenes or quick portraits.¹⁹

How does the G Master lens enhance the image quality?

The FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM lens is a premium lens known for its exceptional sharpness, especially when paired with the $\alpha7R$ III’s 42.4MP sensor. Its large, constant ²⁰$f/2.8$ aperture also allows for a shallow depth of field, creating a beautiful, soft background separation (bokeh) in portraits and close-up shots.²¹

Can I charge the $\alpha7R$ III battery while I am using a mobile battery during my travels?

Yes. The ²²$\alpha7R$ III is equipped with a USB Type-C terminal that supports USB 3.1 Gen 1, allowing for in-camera charging or even power supply from a compatible mobile battery while the camera is in use.²³ A battery must be inserted for this function to work.

Is the camera screen fixed or can I tilt it for different perspectives?

The camera is equipped with a 3.0-inch LCD monitor that can be tilted. This allows you to compose shots easily from high angles (e.g., above a crowd at a festival) or low angles (e.g., ground-level shots of architecture or gardens) without having to strain.
