Over the years, the Moonlight Rose Garden has evolved into a winter tradition, combining horticultural beauty with immersive lighting displays that create a magical nighttime experience.
The event also showcases Japan’s dedication to seasonal celebrations, blending nature, art, and technology to bring visitors a unique cultural and aesthetic experience during the autumn and winter months.
The Moonlight Rose Garden 2025-2026 runs from October 11, 2025, to January 26, 2026, daily from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The event is divided into two seasonal segments:
Season 1: Flower Illuminate (Oct 11 – Dec 1, 2025)
Autumn roses, alongside vivid marigolds, are illuminated in the Rose Terrace, blending fragrance and light for a serene evening stroll.
Season 2: Winter Illuminate (Dec 3 – Jan 26, 2026)
The Aroma Rose area and Green Hill are transformed with 2,000 illuminated “petals of the wind”, shifting through colors with the breeze. Visitors are immersed in a dreamlike atmosphere, with winter blooms enhanced by soft illumination under the moonlight.
Additional attractions include hands-on activities, such as making your own rose lantern, offering visitors an interactive way to connect with the garden’s beauty.
