Ninja Cafe Takayama offers a truly immersive experience into the secretive and fascinating life of Japan’s historical ninja warriors. Conveniently located in the old streets of Takayama in Gifu Prefecture, this facility combines entertainment with education.
Upon arrival, change into a ninja costume provided on-site. You’ll then begin the basic course, which includes:
- Throwing authentic iron shuriken (ninja stars)
- Practicing blow dart techniques
- Learning sword iai (movement and draw techniques) using imitation swords
- Posing for photos in your costume and around traditional decor
The café itself is decorated with historic displays such as helmets, swords, and tea utensils, giving further insight into Japan’s samurai and ninja history. After your training, enjoy a complimentary drink and snack while relaxing or exploring the area.
