Full Description

Begin your Kyoto journey with a convenient pickup at 9:30 AM from your hotel or Kyoto Station. From there, your expert guide will lead you through a curated itinerary of the city’s most treasured sites.

Start with a visit to Nijo Castle, a masterpiece of feudal-era architecture built by Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. Learn about the shogunate period and explore the impressive palace grounds.

Next, head to the Golden Pavilion (Kinkakuji Temple), one of Kyoto’s most iconic landmarks, shimmering with its gold-leaf exterior. Take a peaceful stroll through the surrounding gardens and reflect on its elegant design.

The tour continues with a visit to the Silver Pavilion (Ginkakuji Temple), a more understated yet deeply atmospheric temple surrounded by beautiful moss gardens and stone paths.

You’ll then take a break for lunch or a snack (30-minute mandatory stop), giving both you and your guide a chance to recharge. Lunch is not included, but your guide will recommend great local spots.

The final portion of your tour will be a relaxing walk through the charming Higashiyama district, known for its traditional architecture and historic lanes, followed by a visit to Gion, Kyoto’s most famous geisha district. Keep an eye out—you may even spot a geisha or maiko walking between tea houses.

Enjoy a balance of structured guidance and quiet exploration throughout this private experience tailored exclusively for you and your group.
