Full Description

Become part of Japan’s warrior legacy in this hands-on samurai sword training session set in a traditional dojo in Tokyo’s historic samurai district. Your experience begins with a warm welcome and a short orientation about samurai history, sword etiquette, and mental focus.

Once suited up in authentic samurai attire, your licensed instructor—trained in the centuries-old art of Iaido—will guide you through the fundamental movements of swordsmanship, including correct stance, grip, drawing, striking, and re-sheathing.

For those who choose the tameshigiri (test-cutting) upgrade, you’ll use a real sharpened katana to slice through tatami mats, just like the samurai of old. Your sensei will coach you through proper form and power for clean, precise cuts.

The session ends with a memorial photo opportunity—pose with your katana like a true warrior of the past.
