Full Description
This is not just a class—it’s a full samurai immersion.
Begin with a short video introduction that explains the history and values of the samurai, setting the stage for your transformation into a warrior. Afterward, don your samurai attire and take up the sword.
With guidance from a professional instructor, you’ll learn:
- How to properly bow and show respect
- How to draw and sheathe your sword with precision
- The core movements and striking techniques of Kenbu
- How to perform choreographed forms passed down through generations
You’ll also learn about the cultural significance of the katana, and how discipline and grace go hand in hand in traditional swordsmanship.
After your training, participate in a mini photo shoot in your full costume, capturing a moment worthy of a warrior. Finally, receive a certificate of achievement to commemorate your newly gained skills.
Depending on your selected option, you’ll also enjoy a 10–30 minute live Kenbu performance by professional sword artists. This moving and powerful show offers deep insight into the soul of the samurai tradition.
