Take a private day trip from Tokyo to Sawara, a beautifully preserved merchant town in Chiba Prefecture. As you walk along the picturesque canal flanked by traditional buildings and old kura storehouses, your guide will share the rich history and culture of the area, once a thriving center of commerce during the Edo period.

In the second half of the tour, you’ll visit Katori Jingu Shrine, one of Japan’s most sacred Shinto sites. Nestled in a peaceful forest setting, the shrine dates back over 2,600 years and is known for its majestic architecture, serene atmosphere, and spiritual significance. This powerful “energy spot” is an important pilgrimage destination and offers insight into Japan’s ancient religious traditions.
