The Grand Sumo Tournament Spring Tour, known as the Jungyo, is scheduled to visit the Brex Arena in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, in April 2026. This regional tour provides local fans with a fantastic opportunity to see the world of professional Sumo up close, away from the major cities that host the main tournaments. The Jungyo itinerary is a cultural showcase, combining high-level exhibition matches with traditional and entertaining demonstrations unique to Sumo culture.

While many of the prized Tamari ringside seats are highly sought after, the Arena and Stand seats still offer excellent views of the action and a deeply immersive cultural experience. Attendees should note the availability of special souvenirs and bento sets to enhance their day.
Jasumo Tickets provide Concierge Ticket Service that assists international visitors in securing tickets that usually require many verifications. Submit your request through the Jasumo Contact Form by sharing your preferred date, venue or performance, ticket type, and quantity. Once you’ve reviewed the event details, simply confirm your selection and our bilingual team will support you end-to-end, including Smart Ticket application and payment coordination via credit card, convenience store, or ATM.
Please note that ticket availability is not guaranteed. After receiving your request, we will first check real-time availability on the official ticket platform. Jasumo offers a specialized facilitation service for foreign tourists and non-Japanese residents in Japan, assisting with ticket acquisition for cultural and entertainment events through authorized and official platforms. We are not a ticket reseller and do not sell tickets directly. Our role is to guide international customers through the official booking process and help overcome common challenges, including:
Q: Are there any age restrictions for children attending the Sumo tour?
A: Preschool children are strictly prohibited from entering the ringside Tamari S seats due to safety protocols. In all other seating areas, children under 2 years old are allowed in for free if they sit on an adult’s lap, but a separate ticket is required if they need their own seat.
Q: Can I purchase a ticket for the wheelchair seating area?
A: If you require a wheelchair seat, you must contact the Grand Sumo Utsunomiya Tour secretariat directly for arrangements. For safety reasons, attendees are generally not allowed to watch the event from a wheelchair in any area other than the designated wheelchair seating.
Q: Is it allowed to bring my own food and drinks into the arena?
A: The bringing and consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited inside the Brex Arena. While the rules on non-alcoholic outside food and drinks are not specified, you can purchase a special Bento set or Sumo souvenir set on-site.
Q: Why do I need to bring my own slippers to the venue?
A: It is strictly prohibited to walk around the venue in bare feet, but outside shoes are also often removed in certain seating areas in Japan. Therefore, attendees are strongly requested to bring their own slippers or indoor footwear for use inside the arena.
Q: Can I cancel or get a refund for my purchased tickets?
A: No, all ticket purchases are considered final. Tickets that have been successfully secured cannot be canceled or refunded due to the customer’s personal convenience or change of plans after the booking process is complete.
