Overview

The MELT -Cross of Roots- is a revolutionary ice show that transcends the traditional boundaries of figure skating by blending athleticism with artistic vocal performances. Held at the KOSÉ Shin-Yokohama Skate Center, this production explores the concept of “melting” the barriers between performers, the audience, and the medium itself. The show features a stellar cast of world-class skaters, including Daisuke Takahashi, Shizuka Arakawa, and Kana Muramoto, who glide across the ice to a faint melody generated by the friction of their blades, creating a powerful resonance with the live artists on stage.

This performance is directed and choreographed by the renowned Kikunojo Onoe, ensuring a seamless intersection of different artistic “roots” and cultural expressions. By bringing together diverse personalities and voices, The MELT generates a new kind of creative heat, transforming the rink into a space where infinite colors and emotions blend into a single, captivating light. It is an immersive experience designed to melt the hearts of spectators through the sheer beauty of motion and sound, making it a standout event in the 2026 entertainment calendar.
