Step into the world of Japanese rhythm and tradition with one of Tokyo’s finest cultural workshops. This Taiko drumming experience is led by Eva Kestner, a renowned Taiko performer and educator with international accolades. Eva was the founding musical director of Cornell University’s Taiko group and has been honored by the Tokyo University of Arts New Artists Competition.

This immersive 90-minute workshop introduces you to the history, philosophy, and physical techniques of Taiko drumming. Start with foundation and rhythm training, then learn to play a complete piece—both traditional and contemporary—on real Taiko drums provided at the studio.

Eva’s dynamic teaching style makes it both an energetic workout and a deeply cultural experience. The session includes a live Taiko performance by Eva and concludes with a personalized video of you playing the drums—perfect to remember your time in Japan or share with friends.
