Unleash your inner warrior in this immersive swordsmanship workshop rooted in the values of bushido. Set in a traditional dojo, the experience begins with an introduction to the world of the samurai, followed by instruction from a certified kenjutsu master.
What You’ll Experience:
1. Preparation
- Change into a full samurai uniform, including dogi and hakama
- Receive an overview of the workshop and etiquette training
2. Samurai Bow Ritual
- Begin and end the session with a respectful bow toward the dojo’s shrine, paying homage to the ancient god of war
3. Understanding the Sword
- Learn about the history, symbolism, and role of the katana in samurai culture
- Understand the deep connection between the warrior and their blade
4. Walking and Posture Practice
- Practice traditional samurai movement and etiquette while wearing the sword belt
5. Sword Handling Basics
- Train with an iaitō (practice sword) and learn fundamental techniques:
