Once inside, you’ll be asked to observe silently and respectfully as the rikishi (wrestlers) engage in intense training. The practice includes warm-ups, foot stomping drills, strength training, and one-on-one sparring bouts. This is an authentic, non-touristy experience, offering you a genuine glimpse into the world of Japan’s national sport.
