Yukio Yokoyama and Keiko Urushihara are two of Japans respecte classical musicians, each having a special place in the countrys concert scene. Yukio Yokoyama became well known around the world after winning place at the International Chopin Piano Competition, which made him a strong performer of classical music in Japan. Keiko Urushihara became famous as the Japanese violinist to win first prize at the famous International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition.
This concert series is the part of Yukio Yokoyamas special Beethoven project planne for the 200th year since Ludwig van Beethoven passed away. The first series had Beethovens piano sonatas. This second series shows all ten of Beethovens violin sonatas over two days. The teamwork gives people in Japan a chance to see all of Beethovens violin music played live by top musicians.
