Yuko Miki was born in Kyoto. She is a known Japanese classical pianist and teacher. Her career includes years of playing music and teaching in Europe and East Asia. After that she worked hard to improve her music skills by studying and gaining experience in different countries. Later she did advanced studies at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts and also at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, in Austria.

Miki spent forty-two years based in Munich and Salzburg. During this time, she served as an associate and assistant to legendary pianist and educator Hans Leygraf at the Mozarteum.
