Full Description

Your adventure begins in Ginza, where you’ll board a comfortable, air-conditioned coach and leave the bustling streets of Tokyo behind. As the urban skyline fades into forests and winding mountain roads, you’ll feel the anticipation build for a day of discovery in Nikko.

Your first glimpse of this historic region is the graceful Shinkyo Bridge, a brilliant red arch stretching across the Daiya River — a symbolic entrance to Nikko’s sacred world.

The next stop is the famous Toshogu Shrine, one of Japan’s most elaborately decorated and historically significant temples. Hidden within a majestic cedar forest, this site honors Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate, and features intricate carvings, lavish gold leaf details, and the iconic “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” monkeys.

After absorbing centuries of history, you’ll continue deeper into the mountains to the breathtaking Kegon Falls. Towering nearly 100 meters, this dramatic waterfall is one of Japan’s most scenic natural sights. Enjoy lunch and free time here, soaking in the peaceful mountain air.

(Note: If mountain roads are closed due to weather, Kegon Falls will be replaced with a visit to the historic Rinnoji Temple.)

The journey then leads you to the peaceful Lake Chūzenji, a volcanic lake surrounded by forested hills and misty skies. Enjoy a stroll along the shoreline or take in the calming views before the return trip to Tokyo.

As evening falls, you’ll return to Ginza with lasting memories of a day spent exploring the spiritual and natural wonders of Nikko.
