Full Description

Welcome to Shodo Cafe 7557, a cozy creative space in the cultural district of Roppongi. During this enriching workshop, you’ll be guided by a professional Japanese calligraphy instructor who will take you through the history, mindset, and basic techniques of Shodo.

Begin your session by practicing brush strokes on special calligraphy paper. Once you’re comfortable, you’ll move on to writing full kanji characters—including your name or favorite word or phrase. It’s more than writing—it’s a mindful, meditative experience.

To help you fully immerse yourself, enjoy a free drink during the session, such as a traditional matcha latte or even a refreshing beer. You’ll also receive an authentic Hanko (stamp) with your name in Hiragana, a traditional signature seal in Japan.

Wrap up your experience by creating a variety of beautiful keepsakes, including a fan or hanging scroll with your written kanji, and a selection of Japanese-style gifts like a kanji keychain, coaster, tote bag, and pouch.

This is a highly personalized experience suitable for beginners, families, and travelers looking for a creative and cultural adventure.
