Full Description
Begin your experience on the fifth floor of the Wasako tea room, a beautifully arranged Japanese-style space filled with calming elements: soft background sounds of birdsong, flowing water, and fresh, chemical-free air. You’ll be welcomed into a traditional setting where you can choose to sit on tatami mats or chairs.
You’ll first select your matcha bowl from a curated collection—each with its own design and story. Next, you’ll choose from 3–4 types of seasonal Japanese sweets, carefully selected to complement the flavor of the matcha.
Enjoy a peaceful moment as you watch a tea ceremony demonstration, while savoring your sweets and freshly prepared tea. The host will explain the meaning of the hanging scrolls, furnishings, and tea ceremony history, adding rich cultural depth to the experience.
Then, it’s your turn to try it yourself. Under gentle guidance, you’ll prepare your own bowl of matcha tea, learning proper technique and traditional etiquette.
The setting is perfect for taking memorable photos—from the aesthetic interior to the detailed tea ware. Kimono rentals are available on-site for guests who wish to enhance their experience with traditional attire (optional).
