This heartfelt experience takes place in Tokyo’s Yanaka area—a charming neighborhood full of old-world charm and tradition. The session offers a deeper cultural connection by introducing you to the authentic daily use of kimono, not just as attire but as a lifestyle.

Here’s what you’ll enjoy:

  • Dress in an authentic silk kimono (or yukata during summer months) Kimonos are traditionally produced and made of genuine silk. You’ll choose your kimono style in advance after booking.
  • Walk the streets of Yanaka with an upcycled kimono umbrella from AKIZAKURA, blending tradition with sustainability
  • Learn traditional behaviors: How to walk elegantly in a kimono, how to sit, and how to carry yourself in traditional style
  • Photo session with numerous stops at beautiful and photogenic locations around the area The guide uses an iPhone 14 Pro to capture high-quality shots of your experience
