Full Description
This experience offers a deep dive into the essence of Japanese cultural aesthetics. Set in the nostalgic Yanaka neighborhood, you’ll discover Tokyo’s old-world charm while fully dressed in an authentic kimono or seasonal yukata.
You’ll begin with a personal kimono dressing session, where you can choose your favorite garment from a curated selection of over 50 pieces. Each kimono is crafted from silk and represents traditional Japanese artistry.
Once dressed, your host will guide you on a walking tour through Yanaka. Along the way, you’ll learn the elegant manners associated with kimono—how to walk, sit, and move gracefully. You’ll stop at picturesque locations like Nezu Shrine, perfect for stunning photo opportunities captured by your guide using an iPhone 14 Pro.
The umbrella you’ll carry is made from upcycled kimono fabric—a unique statement piece and a symbol of sustainable Japanese design.
For those wanting to elevate the experience, you can upgrade to a professional photographer or add hair styling, makeup, and tea ceremony options at an additional fee.
