About the Festival
As the cherry blossoms move northward across Japan, Hirosaki’s spectacular blooms begin to open in late April. These famous cherry blossoms are known for their dense, fluffy appearance, a result of pruning techniques developed for Aomori’s apple trees. Hirosaki is often regarded as having the best cherry blossoms in Japan.
Visitors can enjoy a range of attractions including daytime strolls, night-time illumination, and cultural experiences within the historic surroundings of Hirosaki Castle and Park.
