A Future Inspired by Gundam

First airing in 1979, Mobile Suit Gundam introduced viewers to the Universal Century—a future where space colonies and mobile suits are part of everyday life. Now, decades later, Gundam becomes a symbol of innovation and hope at Expo 2025, turning science fiction into a space to reflect on what tomorrow could hold.

RX-78F00/E Gundam Statue

The centerpiece of the pavilion is a 17-meter-tall life-sized Gundam statue, reassembled from parts of the original Moving Gundam from Yokohama. Though stationary, this version—dubbed RX-78F00/E—strikes a dramatic pose with one knee raised and one arm reaching toward the sky, symbolizing humanity’s dreams of reaching the stars. This marks the first-ever life-sized Gundam statue to appear in western Japan.

Step into the pavilion and enter a futuristic, spaceport-like environment divided into phases 0 through 7. Each section immerses you deeper into the Gundam universe, offering:
